Since then she has worked in media relations for the Queensland Government, as a versatile freelancer for a range of magazines and as a senior journalist for a Communication and Marketing company.
In 1999, Robyn and her husband Steve, a photographer, spent a year travelling around Australia in a caravan with their two young children. The couple freelanced as they travelled and the final outcome of their journey was their book: Australians - the people and their stories, published by Simon and Schuster in December 2000.
Robyn's articles have appeared in numerous Australian newspapers; Australian magazines including Australian Good Taste, Voyeur (Virgin Airlines), Caravan and Motorhome, Holidays with Kids, On the Road and New Idea; as well as being sent around the world by wire agency The Associated Press.
