City of Gold Coast - project highlights
Council Budget - 2011 and 2018
Produced media material for these budgets, including management of the Mayor's highlight brochure for 2018.
Gold Coast Sport Plan
Identified and developed media opportunities to support the plan - which aims to improve the Gold Coast’s reputation as a sports destination - including close liaison with visiting sporting organisations to leverage the city’s reputation. Generated extensive media coverage in first 12 months of the plan.
Commonwealth Games Gold Coast 2018
Worked as part of the City's communications team, including media and issues management and media opportunities. One of the comms team members in the "C3" - Command, Coordination and Communication - during Games time.
City of Gold Coast Event Strategy
Identified and developed media opportunities around City-owned and external events to proactively promote the Gold Coast as a sought-after events destination. Leveraged City-supported external events to ensure the Mayor and Gold Coast reputation remains high profile, for example Bleach*, the PGA Championship, Rugby Sevens.
Managed the media launch of the Commonwealth Walkway, a 10 km walking trail with historic points of interest built as a 2018 Commonwealth Games legacy.
